Four years exactly to the day, U.S. Sen. John McCain is heading back for nearby Sun City Center.

But this time, when McCain arrives in Sun City Center on Thursday he will be campaigning for the very person he ended up beating four years ago.

McCain is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting for Mitt Romney at the Chamber of Commerce building, 1651 Sun City Center Plaza,  in Sun City Center starting at 3:40 p.m.

Four years ago, McCain spoke to a pack audience on Jan. 27, 2008 in Sun City just days before Florida’s primary vote. McCain won a narrow victory over Romney in that race.

McCain is scheduled to do three other events for Romney over the next two days. After Sun City Center, McCain does an event at a VFW post in Madeira Beach. Then on Friday, McCain holds a rally in Lakeland at 9:40 a.m., then another in The Villages at 1:10 p.m.

McCain needs to find a rest home and retire. Preferably in Arizona or Alaska.
